International Jazz Day!

In November 2011, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) officially designated April 30 as International Jazz Day to highlight jazz and its diplomatic role of uniting people in all corners of the globe.

Below are three (3) examples on how to celebrate International Jazz Day:

·  Like/Follow International #JazzDay on Facebook and Instagram for updates on how people are celebrating around the world.

·  Do some research on the history of jazz music in your country, including any significant musicians, and share one or two facts with your friends on social media.

·  Check out a book on jazz from your local library.
